about me
born and raised in the midwest, i’ve lived in california for 33 years. for 24 years i’ve owned and programmed a contemporary international art gallery in san francisco.
beautifull!..oh,i said the evil word!..but hey,how refreshing,seems i´m not the only pictoral storyteller out there!holy postmodern,bite my finger!life matters!
Dear Todd, I enjoy your viewing/reading your blog, and the subjects and sensibilities represented. The chandelier piece is brilliant, and thank you for the heads up about Brideshead. I have attached a link to a sight that I regularlly visit and I am included this issue about 3 entries down. Thanks, Eric
how refreshing to find someone literate who does not
sound like an English Major!
And what beautiful work
on your site! I have a short list of adored works
which good manners forbids me to impose on you,
but your mention of Kawabata tempts me to mention
his lesser known masterpiece, The House of Sleeping
Beauties, which is too perverse for the cirriculum.
Best regards,
Phillip Larrimore
actually, i was an english major… and worse yet, an attorney. in other lives. i work at writing like i think. i will track down “house of sleeping beauties” and read it. thank you.
This site is glorious. . . Margie has been imploring me to check it out forever, yet, of course, I just got to it now. Wow. I’m going to have to hunt for a new blog hosting service. Your visuals are stunning and your writing is just beautiful. Loving it…
I came across your site after googling some of my favourite artists and noticed that you had mentioned them here. I thought you might be interested in some ink illustrations I have done.
Todd,
I used to work with Louis and we have met on a few occasions over the years.
I’ve quite enjoyed working my way through the blog, and I’m a little pained at the closure of the SF gallery as well, though I know this is not current news. Also, time has flown. Where when I last saw you at the house and your daughter was quite young, now I have two kids and am experiencing all the joys and terrors that form the basis for eventful child-rearing. I love it. Happy New Year (western) to you, Louis and Helen, from one house of opinions to another.
